Punjab CNG stations to be shut for 12 days

LAHORE: Sad news for the people who are returning their homes from major cities to spend Eid with their families as the CNG outlets of Punjab will be unable to provide gas for 12 days.

The gas will not be available from Saturday to next 12 days due to folding down of Qadirpur Gas Field for the annual maintenance. But Sui Northern Gas Pipelines Limited has said that regardless of severe shortfall in company’s network, the CNG stations will remain open on Eid-ul Azha only for one day (Monday) to provide relief to consumers.

Moreover, the Qadirpur Gas Field is going for annual turnaround on October 7 and it will result in more shortfall of 350mmcfd. The company will be unable to provide gas to all types of industry CNG sector starting from Tuesday 6am. In the meanwhile, spokesperson of SNGPL said the gas will be provided to domestic and commercial consumers.
