LAHORE: Punjab Food Authority (PFA) has sealed another 12 restaurants, stores, juice corners and naan shops during its ongoing crackdown against substandard foods.
According to PFA officials these food outlets/shops located in different areas of the city have been sealed by the team due to unhygienic conditions, location of washroom inside kitchen area, presence of insects in cooked food, lack of soap for washing hands, open drains, poor personnel hygiene and workers working without medical certificates.
The raids were conducted by different town administrations and officials of Punjab Food Authority under the supervision of Director General Punjab Food Authority Sajid Mahmood Chohan and heavy fines were imposed on the spot. The special teams also collected some samples of food item and sent to the labs for tests.
