Punjab govt launches web portal for jobless youths

The Labour Market Information & Resource Centre opened its Online Job Portal and has its profile now on all the popular social media forums including Facebook, Linkedin, Twitter and Google.  Available jobs and latest information about market trends will be available on this job portal round the clock.

This was stated by Project Director Daud Abdullah in a meeting presided by Minister for Labour & HR Raja Ashfaq Sarwar, Daud Abdullah while briefing about the project said that this Online Job Portal is a part of establishment of Labour Market and Resource Center, a project of Punjab Labour & Human Resource Department with the total cost of Rs.65.272 million.

The project empowers employers and job seekers to bring them at free career website providing them market trends information and alerts about future professional needs. Employers can register their organizations to become members with available jobs along with position’s requirements and description. Job seekers can sought through hundreds of employment opportunities, fill out the job applications and submit resume online to apply against the advertised jobs.

Daud Abdullah said that latest hot featured jobs will also be available at this job portal. Daud Abdullah also informed that Labour Market and Resource Center Punjab was established to collect an analyzed labour market data, promote research through information sharing, identify future market trend and knowledge of related field providing infrastructure and facilities for research promotion by dissemination of user-friendly information on this launched online job portal.
