Punjab govt revises business hours

LAHORE: The Punjab government has on Thursday revised business hours and decided to allow trading activities from 08:00 am to 10:00 pm.

Punjab Law Minister chaired the meeting in which new business hours were decided. Clinics, pharmacies, grocery and general stores will remain exempted from the new timetable.

It was decided in the session to ensure use of facemasks in markets and public places. The dignitaries were of the opinion that the impact of coronavirus is reducing but precautions must not be ignored.

The high-level committee decided to send recommendations to the National Command and Operation Center (NCOC) to relax other restrictions which were imposed due to the pandemic.

Provincial Minster for Industries, chief secretary, additional chief secretary (Home), industrial secretary and others attended the meeting.
