Punjab govt to hold Int’l Seminar on Business Opportunities

LAHORE: Punjab government is all set to hold ‘International Seminar on Business Opportunities’ in order to enhance export and increase business activities in the province.

According to details Chief Secretary Punjab Khizar Hayat Gondal on Tuesday directed the relevant departments to make best arrangements for International Seminar on Business Opportunities in Punjab.

He issued this direction while addressing a meeting at Civil Secretariat through video link from commissioner’s office Rawalpindi. The meeting reviewed the arrangements for the two-day international seminar scheduled for November 6 and 7.

Addressing the meeting, the chief secretary said that the international moot will help highlight investment and business opportunities in the province. He mentioned that there are vast opportunities of investment in Punjab, adding that all possible measures are being taken to promote foreign investment and economic activities.

Chairman Planning and Development and Secretary Communication and Works gave detailed briefing about the preparations for the seminar. Chairman Planning and Development Irfan Elahi told the meeting that project-based proposals for foreign investment opportunities in different sectors have been prepared. The Secretary Communication and Works said that as many as 500 foreign and local guests will attend the moot.

Those among present were: Additional Chief Secretary, IG Punjab, Secretaries of Home, Information and Culture, Mines and Minerals, Commissioner Lahore Division, officers of Punjab Board of Investment and Trade.
