Punjab govt to form task force to avail benefits of CPEC: Aysha Pasha

LAHORE: The Punjab government will introduce a task force for the development of industries in order to avail the benefits of China-Pak Economic Corridor (CPEC).

According to details, Provincial Minister for Finance Aysha Ghaos Pasha chaired a high level meeting arranged by the Punjab government in the Civil Secretariat. The Lahore Chamber of Commerce and Industry chairman, organizer of ‘C’ pack Sadiq Ur Rehman and representative of the Punjab Board of Investment and Trade, Punjab Information and Technology Board (PBIT) and other department officers of industries participated in the meeting.

Talking on the occasion, Provincial Minister for Finance Aysha Ghaos Pasha said that to secure the small industries, the progress of Small and Medium Enterprises (SME) is necessary. She added that the Punjab government will cooperate with private sector for foreign investments.

Chairman Lahore Chamber of Commerce and Industries Sadiq Ur Rehmad said that the Chinese investors are showing keen interest in partnership with private sector in Pakistan, government need to re-organize the small industries and he urged the government to introduce business centers to facilitate the SMEs.
