Punjab Industrial Expo 2015 begins: Minister says $1.5-2b investment expected in Sheikhupura Apparel Park project

LAHORE: Provincial Minister for Industries Chaudhry Mohammad Shafique, after the inauguration of Punjab Industrial Expo 2015 at the Expo Centre, said that there will be thousands of jobs as three new industrial estates are being established in the province.

The minister said that an investment of $1.5-2 billion is expected in the Sheikhupura Apparel Park project. “The Punjab Industrial Estates Development and Manage­ment Company (PIEDMC) is playing an important role in promoting industry and creating new job opportunities for the unemployed youth and professionals.” He hoped the exhibition would help strengthen the industrial sector of the province.
