Punjab Revenue Authority collects record Rs367bn tax in FY 2025–26

LAHORE: The Punjab Revenue Authority (PRA) has achieved its highest-ever tax collection in the financial year 2025–26, collecting more than Rs367 billion.

According to a PRA spokesperson, the authority collected Rs270 billion in the financial year 2024–25, showing an increase of Rs97 billion in the current fiscal year along with a growth rate of 36 percent.

PRA Chairman Muazzam Iqbal Sppra said that the authority collected over Rs48 billion in June alone, marking a strong and successful end to the fiscal year.

He added that this is the highest tax collection since the establishment of the institution, reflecting improved performance and enhanced revenue management.

The chairman further stated that the government has set a target of Rs528 billion for the PRA for the financial year 2026–27, expressing confidence that the authority would work to achieve the assigned goal through improved efficiency and reforms.
