Punjab Revenue Authority collects Rs 6 billion in June

LAHORE: The Punjab Revenue Authority (PRA) has collected a record amount of taxes in the last month of the previous fiscal year by collecting Rs 6 billion in June.

Sources told Customs Today that in one month of June, the Punjab Revenue Authority collected Rs 6 billion taxes. Sources said that in the last fiscal year of 2015-16, the Punjab Revenue Authority collected a total of Rs 63 billion that is a record. The Revenue collection is higher than Sindh Revenue Board and other provincial authorities.

Revenue collection by PRA has reached to Rs6 billion in June that is more than Rs1.5 billion higher as compared to May of last fiscal year.

It is pertinent to mention here that revenue collection target for PRA in current fiscal year that has started from 1st of July has increased up to Rs85 billion.
