Q4 target: Tax babus fine-tune strategy today

ISLAMABAD: The Federal Board of Revenue’s Chief Commissioners conference being held on Tuesday (today) will evolve a dynamic strategy to achieve revenue collection target in the last quarter (April-June) 2013-14.

The conference is also scheduled to review the performance of Large Taxpayer Units (LTUs) and Regional Tax Offices (RTOs) under the chair of Finance Minister Ishaq Dar.

As per details, Finance Minister Ishaq Dar is expected to chair the conference on his return from Washington. The minister is expected to review the revenue collection and results of the ongoing Prime Minister’s tax incentive package. Chief Commissioners of LTUs and RTOs will explain their strategies for meeting the set target and collection of expected revenue in last three months of (April, May and June 2014). The Finance Ministry also wanted to know about the expected revenue collection in the last quarter of 2013-14.
