DOHA: Minister of Economy and Commerce H E Sheikh Ahmed bin Jassim bin Mohammed Al Thani met Mohamed Choucair, Chairman of the Federation of Chambers of Commerce, Industry and Agriculture in Lebanon and head of the Beirut Chamber and Mount Lebanon, along with a number of key Lebanese businessmen in the field of services, tourism and telecommunications.
During the meeting, they discussed aspects of economic, commercial and investment cooperation between the two countries and ways to support them.
The meeting was attended by Chairman of Qatar Chamber of Commerce and Industry Sheikh Khalifa bin Jassim bin Mohammed Al Thani.
Trade exchange between Qatar and Lebanon reached around QR529.5m in 2014, as Qatari exports to Lebanon amounted to about QR128.5m, while imports stood at nearly QR400.1m.
