NanoFLOWCELL has unveiled its latest Quant creation, the new Quant F is based on the Quant E, will officially release at next month’s Geneva Motor Show.

It is a completely re-engineered and re-designed version of the model, Quant E. Visual changes are few, however, and include new wheels, a new paint finish, larger external mirrors and new headlights that project the letter ‘Q’ when illuminated.

The carmaker says interior space has been improved for the F, while the huge gullwing doors continue as a key feature from the E’s design.

The already-impressive power output from the E is further enhanced in the F, with four all-electric motors – one for each wheel – continuing to provide forward momentum.

Total available power output has risen significantly from 680 to 802kW, with drive reaching the road via a new two-speed automatic transmission developed by nanoFLOWCELL.

Peak voltage has also risen – from 600 volts to 735 – but the carmaker is aiming for around 400 volts during ‘normal’ operation in the future.

Flowcell technology continues to be one of Quant’s main drawcards, working in a similar way to hydrogen fuel cells.

A pair of 250 litre tanks carry “two ionic fluids – one with a positive charge and one with a negative charge”, giving the F a 30 percent boost in total range over the E.

The exterior is virtually ready for on-road approval, while the interior will be assessed soon via a crash test before the Quant F can get the green light.

The Quant F’s debut in Geneva follows the e-Sportlimousine for nanoFLOWCELL, which was unveiled at the same motor show last year.
