Quetta Customs recovers 12kg charas, arrests two

KARACHI: The Quetta Customs Intelligence has seized a huge quantity of narcotics during a successful raid while two men were arrested.

Director Irfanur Rehman received information that some elements were planning to smuggle narcotics through a pick up. On this, he informed the anti-smuggling team and instructed them to use all available sources to curb smuggling.

The anti-smuggling team established check-post at main entry and exit point of the city and started checking vehicles. During the checking of vehicles the team intercepted a pick up van. During the searching of the van the team recovered 12 kilogram charas from the cavities of the van. The customs officials seized the narcotics and arrested two persons who were involved in smuggling. Officials said that the value of seized narcotics is more than Rs6 million in international markets. Director praised the anti-smuggling activities against smugglers and instructed them to use all available sources to curb the smuggling.
