Quetta Customs earns Rs151m more taxes than allocated targets during June 20116-17

QUETTA: The Model Customs Collectorate (MCC) Quetta surpassed its assigned targets of Federal Excise Duty (FED) and With Holding Tax (WHT) during the month of June Financial Year (FY) 2016-17.

According to Customs Today, during the month of June FY16-17, the collectorate collected Rs2273million of All Duty and Taxes against the allocated target of Rs2122million of All Duty and Taxes. So the surplus amount is Rs151million.

He said the collectorate generated Rs335million of WHT against the assigned target of Rs320million under the same head whereas it did Rs38.00million of FED during June FY16-17 whereas the collectorate earned Rs19.00million under the same head.

During above said period, the collectorate received Rs795million of Customs Duty whereas it assigned Rs810million under the same head during June FY16-17.

He told CT that the collectorate of Quetta got Rs973.00million of target of Sales Tax (ST) during June FY16-17 whereas the collectorate was assigned with the collection of Rs1105million under the same head during above said period.
