Quetta Customs earns Rs839m of revenue during 28 days of August

QUETTA: The Customs Collectorate earned Rs.839 million of revenue under head of all duty taxes from 1st to 28th of August Fiscal Year 2017-18.

Sources told Customs Today that during the above said period the Collectorate earned revenue of Rs.329.00 million under the head of customs duty (CD) while Collectorate of Quetta earned Rs354.00 million of revenue under head of sales tax (ST).

The sources told that during the initial 28 days of August FY17-18 the Customs Collectorate earned Rs17.00 million under head of federal excise duty (FED) while MCC Quetta earned Rs139.00 million under head of withholding tax (WHT) during above said period.

Sources told that during 1st to 20th July FY2017-18 the Collectorate of Quetta was earned Rs253.00 million under head of customs duty while it was earned Rs.286.00 million under head of sales tax as for as the Customs Collectorate Quettawas earned Rs.19.00 million under head of federal excise duty (FED) adding that the Collectorate earned Rs.106.00 million under head of withholding tax during initial 28 days of July FY17-18.

Sources told Customs Quetta already adopted comprehensive measures to increase revenue collection. Due to effective policy and measures there is marginable increase is being witnessed in collection of duty and taxes during the month of August, 2017.

It is also necessary to mention here that Quetta Customs is using all available resources to recover outstanding tax amount from the tax defaulters and also from those who willfully avoiding to pay duty and taxes.
