Quetta Customs foils bid to smuggle goods worth Rs30m near Dalbandeen check post

QUETTA: Collectorate of Customs Preventive foiled a bid to smuggle huge quantity of smuggled goods worth Rs30 million near Dalbandeen check post.

According to sources, Collector Irfan Javed received credible information about smuggling of goods. He directed Additional Collector Yasir Kalwar to take all necessary measures to thwart any attempt of smuggling.

Customs anti-smuggling squad under the supervision of Superintendent Saleem Mandokhail and Inspector Muhammad Rafiq intercepted several vehicles passing through RCD Highway to interior country including buses and trucks and pick-ups.

During checking huge quantity of betel nut, cloth, tyres, auto parts, perfumes etc were recovered worth Rs30 million.

It is necessary to mention here that Customs Preventive Quetta in a joint operation with FC recovered huge quantity of smuggled goods worth Rs300 million earlier this week.

Collector Irfan Javed after assuming the charge directed all anti-smuggling squads to adopt zero tolerance policy against smuggling. He strictly directed that anyone who found involved in smuggling should be dealt as per law.
