Quetta Customs I&I confiscates non-duty paid mobile phones, auto parts worth Rs15m

QUETTA: The Directorate of Customs Intelligence and Investigation confiscated a huge quantity of mobile phones, auto parts worth Rs 15 million.

Sources told Customs Today that Director Customs Intelligence and Investigation Irfan Javed received a tip-off that some smugglers are trying to smuggle mobile phones and auto parts from Quetta to Karachi.

He immediately constituted a raiding team. The team In-charge, Ayub Khan and others, enhanced surveillance on the Quetta Leli check-post and started searching vehicles.

During the search operation, the team intercepted a Pickup bearing registration No: KGL-928 which was going out of the city. During the checking, he customs team recovered 450 smart phones and large number of auto parts worth Rs 15 million.

The customs team seized the all items and arrested Vehicle driver. The Directorate of Customs Intelligence and Investigation Quetta registered an FIR against the smuggler and start investigation.

Earlier, Directorate of Customs Intelligence and Directorate of Customs Intelligence and Investigation confiscated electronics items and arrested one person.
