Quetta Customs I&I seizes non-duty paid goods worth Rs 4.89m

KARACHI: The Directorate of Customs Intelligence and Investigations took into custody non-duty paid Iranian juices and electronics items (like imported cables, fridge condenser, fancy board and so many others things) worth Rs 4.89 million on Tuesday morning.

The sources told Customs Today that Director Customs Intelligence and Investigation Irfan Javed received information that some smugglers were trying to smuggle a big quantity of non-duty paid Iranian juices, electronics Items include 10,000 meter imported wires, 40 fridge condenser, 1,000 fancy electric boards, fancy buttons, holders and more.

He immediately constituted a raiding team. The team enhanced the vigilance on the Quetta Highway and started a search operation of vehicles. During the search, the team intercepted a truck bearing registration no: SD-8779 registered of Sargodha, which was heading out of city.

During the checking, the customs team recovered smuggle big quantity of non duty paid Irani Juices, electronics Items include 10 thousand meter imported wires, 40 fridge condenser, one thousand fancy electric board, fancy buttons, holders and more items valued at Rs 4.89 million.

Customs team arrested three persons who were boarded on vehicle and were later identified Sammar Gul, Ehsan Khan and one unknown person.
