KARACHI: Quetta Model Customs Collectorate has done 38 actions against smugglers and seized contraband items worth of million while more than 50 men were arrested.
The customs intelligence and investigation has impounded three luxury cars and chassis of the trucks and jeeps during a successful raid. Deputy Collector Jhanzaib Abbasi received information a huge quantity of Chassis of trucks and jeeps was smuggled from out of city. Consequently, he sought the anti smuggling team and told them about the received information. The deputy collector comprising a team included preventive Kashif Hassan, Inspector Shoib Ali and others. The team formed check points at the exit point of the city and started the checking of vehicles. During the checking of the vehicles the team intercepted a suspicious truck. While the searching of the truck the team found 50 chassis and three luxury cars. Customs officials told that they did not received information about smuggled cars. The team impounded the cars and chassis while four men were arrested at the time of action. The customs intelligence officials told that the value of seized items is more than Rs 15 million.
