Quetta Customs outshines allocated target of August with Rs221m revenue

QUETTA: The Model Customs Collectorate (MCC) Quetta generated surplus amount of revenue of Rs221million as All Duties and Taxes against the assigned target of August Financial Year (FY17-18).

The MCC Quetta was allocated the revenue collection target of Rs1321million as All duties and taxes while it collected Rs1631million against the earmarked target under the same head.
According to details explained by sources of MCC Quetta that, during the month of August FY17-18, the performance of the MCC Quetta has been satisfactory against the allocated revenue target for the month of August FY17-18. During abovementioned period, the MCC Quetta earned surplus amount of Rs649million of Customs Duty (CD) against the earmarked target of Rs438million as CD.
The sources further told CT that, during August FY17-18, the Quetta Customs was assigned revenue target of Rs630million of Sales Tax whereas it earned Rs679million under the same head against the set target.
Sources added that, during said period, the MCC Quetta was allocated the revenue collection target of Rs32million as Federal Excise Duty (FED) whereas it collected Rs32million against the assigned revenue target of FED.
