Quetta Customs recovers huge quantity of narcotics worth Rs260m

KARACHI: Directorate of Customs Intelligence and Investigation,Quetta, has recovered 120 kilograms of fine quality hashish and chemical used for manufacturing of heroin.

According to sources, Director Customs Intelligence Rafanur Rehman received secret information that some smugglers are planning to smuggle narcotics. Soon after receiving the information, he formed a team under the supervision of Deputy Collector Inamullah Wazir. The team intercepted a mini bus and recovered chemical used for manufacturing of heroin.

During further checking of the same vehicle customs team recovered 120 kilograms of fine quality hashish. Customs team arrested the driver and conductor of the vehicle. It is necessary to mention here that prior to this customs team seized 270 kilograms of narcotics and arrested six persons. The market value of seized narcotics in international market is Rs 260 million.
