QUETTA: Collectorate of Customs thwarted an attempt to smuggle hge quantity of narcotics, and seized 420 kilograms of fine quality charas worth Rs120 million.
Sources said that information was passed through Collector Dr. Fareed to Additional Collector Moin Afzal regarding smuggling of narcotics through Yaro check post. Deputy Collector Dr. Zohaib Sandela formed a team comprising led by Inspector Ishaq George to foil the attempt.
The Customs team intercepted one Toyota Vigo vehicle and one Mazda bus. Checking led to the recovery of large quantity of contraband concealed in the secret cavities of the vehicles.
Value of the seized goods are worth Rs120 million. An FIR is lodged and investigations are still underway till the filing of this report.
