Quetta Customs seizes huge quantity of electronics items

KARACHI: Directorate of Customs Intelligence and Investigation has seized a huge quantity of electronics items, HD LaserJet and commercial printer in two successful raids.

Directorate of Customs Intelligence received information that a huge quantity of electronics items was being smuggled out of the city. Consequently, he formed a team under the supervision of Deputy Director Customs Intelligence. The team included Inspector Sher Khan, Inspector Ghulam Rasool and some other Sepoyes. The team established check-post at the exit points of the city and started the checking of vehicles. While the checking the officials intercepted a truck. During the search of truck the team recovered more than 100 seventeen inches monitors, 50 LEDs, 50 DVDs and more than 2000 mother board of computers. The team asked the driver about customs clearance documents but he failed to provide related documents. He said that owner said me to supply these items out of city in a warehouse. The customs intelligence seized items and impounds the truck which was used in smuggling. The team said that approximately value of seized items is more than Rs10 million.

In another operation Customs Intelligence seized a huge quantity of LaserJet printers. Intelligence sources said that Director Customs Intelligence received information a hug quantity of said items was dumped into a private warehouse. The customs Intelligence team raided at said place and recovered more than 100 printers during the search of ware house. The customs officials seized the items and field case age unidentified persons.
