Quetta Customs seizes ice worth Rs136.6m

QUETTA: The Field Enforcement Unit (FEU) Nauttal, operating under the Collectorate of Customs Enforcement Quetta has successfully foiled a major smuggling attempt and seized Crystal/Ice (methamphetamine) valued at Rs136.6 million.

The operation marks a significant achievement in the department’s ongoing drive against narcotics trafficking, said a news release here on Tuesday.

Acting on credible intelligence, Customs officials intercepted a passenger vehicle and recovered 2,000 grams of Crystal/Ice concealed inside a bag. The suspect was taken into custody on the spot, and legal proceedings have been initiated as per the Customs Act, 1969.

The confiscated narcotics have been shifted to the Customs warehouse for further action.

The Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) highly appreciated the vigilance and professionalism of the Nauttal enforcement team, reiterating its commitment to combating smuggling, safeguarding national revenue, and promoting lawful trade across Pakistan.
