QUETTA: Customs authorities have seized huge quantity of smuggled goods worth Rs12.95 million.
The Quetta customs seized the goods, including new and used tyres, welding rods and motorcycle parts, in joint operations with FC.
In pursuance of information received from Collector Saeed Jadoon that foreign origin goods would be smuggled from Afghanistan through un-frequented routes into the country, Deputy Collector Preventive Junaid Mehmood along with FC staff at Muslim Bagh Check Post stopped two vehicles loaded with smuggled goods. Customs officials at check post seized the vehicles along with smuggled goods and seized the same on not providing any legal/import documents.
