Quetta Customs seizes smuggled goods worth Rs370m

QUETTA: Collectorate of Customs Enforcement staff seized a large quantity of smuggled foreign goods during an operation in Quetta.

According to Collector Customs Dr. Karam Elahi, in addition to a luxury vehicle, different items include thousands of liters of Iranian smuggled oil, mobile phones, and silver bricks during operation.

The estimated value of the items seized in the operation is more than Rs370 million.

The operations are a manifestation of the success of the restructuring of Customs and the Single Enforcement command.

Earlier on February 15, 2026, Collectorate of Customs Enforcement Quetta along with other law enforcement agencies (LEAs) seized a large consignments of electronic items worth Rs.151 million.

The seized electronic items include 2,520 foreign origin tablets and an FIR has also been lodged against the culprits. The total tentative CIF value of the seized electronic item is estimated at Rs.151 million.

The operations were carried out on the basis of credible intelligence and reflects the continued commitment of Customs Enforcement Quetta to curb smuggling and protect the national economy.

The timely support and coordination of Law Enforcement Agencies of Balochistan played a vital role in the successful execution of the operation.

Customs reiterates its resolve to continue strict enforcement actions against smuggling and illegal trade in close coordination with law enforcement agencies.

These relentless successes of Customs Enforcement formations in recent months are attributable to FBR’s functional restructuring and introduction of single enforcement command as an integral part of the current government’s over-arching governance reforms focused on better service delivery.
