Quetta customs surpasses Rs761m against allocated target of Rs7355m

ISLAMABAD: The Model Customs Collectorate Quetta exceeded Rs761million all duty taxes against the assigned revenue target of Rs7355.00million during seven months (July to January) Financial Year FY2016-17. The Quetta Customs Collectorate collected Rs8116 million during above said period.

According to details told by Collector MCC Dr. Saeed Jadoon, during the first seven months of the current financial year, the collectorate generated plus 10% revenue.

During above said period, the MCC Quetta collected Rs2771million customs duty (CD) against the allocated revenue target of Rs2379million. The collectorate earned Rs392million more revenue during July to January FY2016-17 against the assigned target of customs duty.

During above said period, the Quetta collectorate received Rs3933million sales tax (ST) against the allocated target of Rs3464million. The collectorate got Rs469more revenue sales tax (ST) during the initial seven months of current FY2016-17.

During above said period, the MCC Quetta collected Rs1265million federal excise duty against the assigned target of Rs1438million, so the collectorate faced the shortfall of Rs173million FED during the first seven months of FY2016-17.
