Quetta I&I confiscates Iranian brake oil, fake number plates

QUETTA: The Directorate of Customs Intelligence and Investigation confiscated chassis of two luxury vehicles fake number plates, Iranian break oil worth Rs 12.15  million.

Sources told Customs Today  that Director Customs Intelligence and Investigation Muhammad Akram Ch received a tip-off that some smugglers are trying to smuggle luxury chassis of luxury vehicles, fake number plates, Iranian brake oil cane and luxury vehicles.

He immediately constituted a raiding team under the supervision of Wajid Raza and others. The Customs I&I team enhanced the surveillance on the Quetta Highway (Changez Chungi) and started searching vehicles. During the search operation, the team intercepted a (40 feet) bearing registration no: QMM-7409 which was going out of Quetta city.

During the checking, the customs team recovered two chassis of luxury jeeps, more than 200 fake number plates, 1000 small boxes of Iranian brake oil, and 500 new brand vehicle self Rs 12.15 million.

The customs team seized all smuggling items and arrested 2 smugglers including driver, who were later identified truck driver Wajid Raza and Usaman Khan.

Source said the Directorate of Customs Intelligence and Investigation Quetta are going to register an FIR against the smugglers after careful investigations. The team also seized the truck used in smuggling.
