Quetta I&I foils bid to smuggle Boostin injections

QUETTA: Directorate of Customs Intelligence and Investigation (I&I) foiled bid to smuggle Boostin injections from a passenger travelling through Air Arabia airline.

Sources told that information was received through Director Sami-ul-Haq to Deputy Director Dr. Zohaib that huge quantity of hormone injections, which induce cows and buffalos to produce more milk, would be smuggled into the country.

A team consisting Hamid Habib, Shabier Khan and Manzoor Shah was constituted to foil the bid. Subsequently, to suit cases were recovered from a passenger Asif Rana in the parking area of the airport.

Asif Rana informed that the suit cases were given to him by a person namely Faizan in South Africa for onward transportation to Quetta. The checking of the bags led to recovery of 5,000 injections of Boostin Somatatropin.

An FIR is lodged and investigations are still underway.
