Quetta I&I foils bid to smuggle huge quantity of electronics goods on Friday

QUETTA: The Directorate of Customs Intelligence and Investigation Quetta has foiled a bid to smuggle non custom paid Computer accessories include LED monitors, electronic key board and others worth Rs 7.50 million during special checking.

Sources told Customs Today on Friday afternoon, that Director Customs Intelligence and Investigation Muhammad Akram Chaudhary received a tip-off that some smugglers are trying to smuggle non custom paid Computer accessories LED monitors, electronic key board from Quetta to Karachi

He constituted a raiding team under the supervision of Inspector Kazim Rizvi (Preventive department) and others. The team enhanced the surveillance in Kuchlack highway road and started searching of vehicles. During the search operation, the team intercepted a truck bearing registration No: GNA-7462 which was going from Quetta to Karachi.

During the checking, the customs team recovered 100 pieces of 17 inch LED monitors, 500 electronic key board, 500 digital mouse, 1000 pieces of 2 GB Ram so many different accessories worth Rs 7.50 million. The customs team seized all computer accessories and arrested a smuggler. Customs team after registering a case of smuggling against accused persons started further investigations.
