Quetta I&I recovers smuggled goods from Link Badani Warehouse

QUETTA: Directorate of Customs Intelligence & Investigation (I&I) has seized huge quantity of smuggled goods including betel nut, cigarettes and gutkha with the assistance of FC Baluchistan at NLC Dry Port, Quetta. Market value of the seized goods come to Rs946.7 million.

Sources told Customs Today that information was passed through Director-General Customs Intelligenceand Investigation I&I Faiz Ahmed to Director Quetta Nadeem Memon regarding presence of smuggled goods at Link Badani Warehouse at Taj Muhammad Road, Quetta.

Deputy Director Sohail formed a team led by Inspector Hamid Habib. A raid was conducted with the assistance of FC at the said place, which led to recovery of large quantity of smuggled goods.

In other operation, Regional Directorate of Customs Intelligence & Investigation, Quetta successfully made multiple seizures involving Non-Duty Paid items including smuggled diesel along with transporting vehicles worth Rs51.12 million.

Customs Intelligence and Investigation (I&I) team registered a case and started investigations.
