Quetta Preventive impounds 10 non-customs paid vehicles from showroom

QUETTA: Collectorate of Customs Preventive team impounded 10 non-customs paid vehicles last night during crackdown against non-duty paid vehicles. The market value of seized vehicles is Rs20 million.

Sources told Customs Today Chief Collector Dr. Zulfiqar Ali Chaudhary received credible information that some non-duty paid vehicles are parked in a showroom located near Kuchlak area. He immediately directed Collector Customs Preventive Dr. Iftikhar Ahmed to take all necessary measures to thwart any attempt of smuggling. The customs team along with Frontier Corps (FC) conducted operation at showroom located near Kuchlak area. During operation some miscreants tried to make resistance to halt operation but brave team of ASO impounded the vehicles and brought the same to State Warehouse.

It is necessary to mention here that Chief Collector Dr. Zulfiqar Ali Chaudhary directed all anti-smuggling squads to adopt zero tolerance policy towards non-duty paid vehicles. He directed that anyone who found involved in smuggling should be dealt with iron hands.
