Raids on to arrest absconders in fake pay orders case against M/s Voroly Impex

KARACHI: The Customs Court granted an application submitted by investigation officer of Customs Appraisement R&D (East) for submission of final charge sheet against M/s Voroly Impex and others for alleging charge of submitting fake, forged and fabricated two pay orders.

On 13 September 2020, investigation officer submitted an application and informed that the investigations are heading in right direction to trace the real culprits, abettors and financers other then those already implicated in FIR & interim challan, in this regard Customs R&D East has already written letters to shipping lines, M/s Riazeda, M/s Cosco and M/s OOCL for provision of container tracking history, exports goods declarations and allied document, to which shipping lines have not replied yet, further, Mobilink/ Jazz Pakistan has also been written to provide the details about the IP address, used in fling the GDs, declaration, furthermore, raids at office and location of absconders are being carried to arrest the absconders.

He further submits that in view of above mentioned facts it is difficult to ascertain the gravity of crime and identify other accused involved the crime, therefore, it is humbly requested to allow a period of three working days for submission of final challan.

According to prosecution, two FIRs have been lodged by customs officials against M/s Voroly Impex, Muhammad Nihal Rafi allegation of representing M/s Voroly Impex before the customs department and production of fake, forget and fabricated two pay orders amounting to Rs1,430,919 as well as amounting to Rs2,323,683 against two goods declarations in MCC Appraisement R&D (East) Karachi as securities which were later on detected to be forged and fake.
