Ramzan bazaars: Punjab govt ensures quality edibles at cheaper rates

BAHAWALPUR: Punjab government ensured the provision of quality food items at cheaper rates in Ramzan Bazaars under the spirit to provide relief to the masses during the holy month of Ramzan.

Executive District Officer (Agriculture) and focal person for Ramzan Bazaars district Bahawalpur Ch Tanveer Ahmad while talking to APP here on Friday said that Punjab government has allocated a quota of 446 metric ton of subsidized sugar at a rate of Rs 55 per kg for Bahawalpur district and so far 101 metric ton sugar has been provided to the consumers at 12 Ramzan Bazaars in district.

He further said that agriculture fair price shops were also functioning very efficiently where food stuff was supplied to the consumers at cheaper rates.

Ch Tanveer Ahmad said that Ramzan Bazaars were providing economic relief to the consumers by ensuring the provision of quality edibles at subsidized rates.
