SIALKOT: The smooth provision of the advanced export-related facilities and rapid clearance of the export consignments resulted into the record increase in exports from Sialkot region. Model Customs Collectorate Sialkot (MCCS), Sialkot Dry Port Trust (SDPT) and Sialkot International Airport were making hectic efforts to boost the exports here.
According to the Chairman Sialkot Dry Port Trust (SDPT) Khawar Anwar Khawaja , the one window operation and establishment of single examination assessment office at the shade yard of Sialkot Dry Port Trust (SDPT) by the MCCS was earning the great confidence of the Sialkot exporters, as they have been expressing their complete satisfaction and confidence over these great facilities provided by the MCC Sialkot here, as the Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) and exporters were getting full benefits of this increase in exports.
Khawar Anwar Khawaja revealed that the exporters also taking keen interest in enhancing their exports from Sialkot, as the MCC was successfully motivating them to do their exports from Sialkot Dry Port Trust (SDPT) and Sialkot International Airport, saying that the exporters have been injecting the fresh blood into the national economy by earning the foreign exchange, playing their pivotal role in strengthening the national economy and boosting the national exports.
He pledged to leave no stone unturned for promoting the exports and imports through Sialkot Dry Port as the Sialkot Dry Port Trust (SDPT) was offering the special services.
Khawar Anwar Khawaja Chairman SDPT narrated that the exporters of Sialkot are the “Roaming Ambassadors of Pakistan”, who travel all around the world to fetch business with their personal efforts, the export earnings of Sialkot stand at US $ 1.8 billion annually, which is six percent of the total exports of Pakistan.
