Rapid force sets up for curbing crime in North Karachi Industrial Area

KARACHI: A Rapid Police Force has been formed in North Karachi Industrial Area to curb street crimes, bank robberies and other crimes. In addition to keeping a close eye on criminals in the industrial area, immediate action will be taken against them.

SSP Central, Ghulam Murtaza Tabassum inaugurated the establishment of Rapid Force. President, North Karachi Association of Trade & Industry (NKATI) Faisal Moiz Khan, Vice President, Naeem Haider, CMC Chief, Akhtar Ismail, former president and senior member Syed Usman Ali, CEO NKIDMC, Sadiq Mohammad and others members of the managing committee were also present at the opening ceremony.

SSP Central, Ghulam Murtaza Tabassum said that the Rapid Force would consist of 50 police personnel who would work with the Crime Monitoring Cell of NKATI to control crime. Rapid Force motorcyclists will be equipped with weapons and other modern equipment, including walkie-talkies.

He further said that Rapid Force would be deployed only in North Karachi Industrial Area, which would play a very active role in controlling street crimes, bank robberies and other crimes in the industrial area.

NKATI president, Faisal Moiz Khan gratitude DI West and SSP Central for forming the Rapid Force, and said that the deployment of the Rapid Force would help in controlling crime in the industrial area of North Karachi. In this regard, he assured his full cooperation.

NKATI president further said that provision of conducive and peaceful environment is essential for the continuation of industrial activities. Therefore, NKATI was continuing them strives to take all possible steps to ensure the safety of the lives and property of its industrial members.
