KARACHI: Raw cotton prices will continue to tumble due to the recent 5 percent tax on cottonseed cake and non-procurement of the produce by the Trading Corporation of Pakistan (TCP).

Sources told Customs Today that the raw cotton prices were all-time low and a record decrease is likely to be witnessed in the cultivation of fresh cotton crop. Sources said that a further decrease in the prices is expected if the TCP did not start procurement of raw cotton soon.
