Rawalpindi Excise to computerise record of property tax

ISLAMABAD: The Excise and Taxation Department Rawalpindi has decided to make the property tax record online and to introduce computerised challan forms for the property tax.

According to the details, Rawalpindi Excise will issue computerized challan form of property tax to the citizens in the running fiscal year.

Officials said that computerization of the property tax branch would bring ease for the people as the manual challan form to be eliminated overtime to eradicate the corruption.

It is important to mention here that Excise and Taxation Department has already online the record of motor branch and now the department is going to computerise the record of property tax branch.

The officials added that department has been receiving many complaints about the corruption of employees in guise of overcharging the taxpayers for their vested interests.

They added that name of owner, property number; tax rate and imposed tax will be printed on the computerized challan form.
