ISLAMABAD: Directorate of Customs Intelligence and Investigation generated Rs82 million after conducting a successful auction of non-duty paid vehicles.
Director Customs Intelligence and Investigation Waheedullah Marwat while talking with Customs Today said that the cartel of traditional bidders was broken through the presence of general public and genuine buyers in the auction.
He said that an atmosphere of competition was created, as a result of which record revenue of Rs82.7 million was realized through the auction of 21 vehicles (average Rs3.9 million per vehicle).
The credit goes to the whole auction team of Directorate of I&I Rawalpindi, this was highest achieving auction further the director added that average vehicle has fetched Rs.3.9 million approximately.
