RCCI Condemns Quetta attack

RAWALPINDI: Rawalpindi Chamber of Commerce and Industry (RCCI) President Raja Amer Iqbal has strongly condemned blast at Police Training Institute Quetta. In a statement Raja Amer Iqbal expressed his grievances over the demise of innocent people in the attack. He prayed to Allah Almighty to rest the departed souls in eternal peace and grant courage and fortitude to the bereaved families to bear this irreparable loss.

He termed the attack a cowardly act and an ugly attempt to destabilize country aimed at creating an impression of unsafe place in the eyes of international community. He urged government to take strong measures in eradicating the menace of terrorism. He termed that the Quetta attack was an effort to harm the China Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC). RCCI President said that the strategic and economic importance of the corridor makes it vulnerable to the regional and international conspiracies.

He said that such acts of terrorism took a heavy toll on business and investment activities in the country; therefore, a comprehensive solution to the issue was need of the hour to put the economy on the path to sustainable growth. We should show solidarity and unity in our ranks to fight against terrorism, he added.
