RAWALPINDI: A 27-member trade delegation of the Rawalpindi Chamber of Commerce and Industry (RCCI) has left for Kazakhstan to participate in Central Asian International Trade Forum and Trade Fair. The two-day International Trade Forum and Trade Fair would be held from October 29 to 30, 2014 in Almaty, the largest city of Kazakhstan, said RCCI spokesman.
The basic purpose behind said fair was to promote trade relations among Central Asian Stats, Afghanistan and Pakistan. It was being organized in collaboration with USAID and similar conference was organized in Pakistan in April, 2014, he added.
President Mashadi, before departure, said that RCCI striving hard to promote trade relations with neighboring and Central Asian States (CAS) and has planned to organize a single country exhibition in CASs. He said that it was an opportunity for Pakistani products to explore CASs trade markets and it was need of the hour to endorse non-traditional products to non-traditional trade markets. He further said that it was in interest of Pakistan’s economy to extend trade relations with Afghanistan and CASs and RCCI would take every possible step in this regard.
