RCCI lauds CPO role in maintaining law and order in the city

RAWALPINDI: The Rawalpindi Chamber of Commerce and industry (RCCI) President Muhammad Nasir Mirza called on City Police Officer (CPO) Rawalpindi Ahsan Younis.

Talking to the President Chamber, CPO Ahsan Younis said that work on the Safe City project for Rawalpindi city is underway. Modern technology is essential to curb crime, and the Department of Police will provide all kinds of assistance to chambers and traders’ associations to install and monitor CCTV cameras in markets. CPO welcomed the Chamber of Commerce’s proposals to eliminate crime from the city.

On the occasion, Chamber President Nasir Mirza appreciated CPO’s effective role to redress public issues by holding ‘Khuli Kutchery’ on a daily basis. The measures taken by the CPO for providing welfare and facilities to police personnel are commendable, he added.

RCCI President further added that immediate action of police on robberies, murders and robberies in the city is commendable. Police patrols and personnel should be increased to curb street crime. He said that close liaison with the police would help in resolving various issues related to the business community, especially law and order.
