RCCI lauds revival of TDRO

RAWALPINDI: Rawalpindi Chamber of Commerce and Industry (RCCI) President Syed Asad Mashadi, in a statement, has lauded the decision for revival of Trade Dispute Resolution Organisation (TDRO).

He said that the revival of TDRO is a proof that the government is making sincere strides to reactivate the economic activity which in turn will help usher in new era of economic wellbeing and prosperity.

He highlighted the need for developing a synchronised coordination among various tiers at the level of Ministry of Industry and Trade, country’s missions abroad, and other officials, besides concerning Chamber to avoid fraud and forgery with the local businessmen in import sector.

He pointed out that the number of complaints in the sector of import has risen to a significant level as various problems are being faced by the importers of the country who have at present no say in case a consignment of substandard articles is sent in their name following their booking from abroad.

He said there was a greater need that TDRO may hold series of seminars and workshops for providing awareness on various import and export issues besides educating the businessmen on the International Laws pertaining to the concerned field.
