RCCI organizes awareness Seminar on Islam & Business

RAWALPINDI: Federal Minister for Religious Affairs and Interfaith Harmony Dr Pir Noorul Haq Qadri attended a seminar on “Islam and Business, in the Light of Quran and Hadith” under the auspices of Rawalpindi Chamber of Commerce and Industry (RCCI).

Federal Minister for Religious Affairs Noor-ul-Haq Qadri in his address lauded RCCI for organizing the seminar on Islam and Business.

He said that our youth needs an Ideological and moral training, fear of God and love of the Prophet must be inculcated in the minds of the young generation, legislation alone will not solve the problems.

He said that the life of the Holy Prophet (PBUH) is the most complete. Before the proclamation of Prophethood, he started his business as a businessman.

The Ministry of Religious Affairs will extend its full support to the campaign launched by the Chamber to eradicate corruption. We have to promote the tax culture, we are looking for some tricks to hide taxes.

Today is December 16 and this evening is the day of a great tragedy. I pray for the parents of the children who were martyred in this tragedy. May Allah give them patience. The tragedy of Sialkot brought bad name and disrepute to Pakistan.

The seminar was also addressed by Dr. Taj Afsar, Deputy Dean, Faculty, International Islamic University, Islamabad, and attended a question and answer session. He said that trade has played an important role in spreading Islam all over the world.

Chamber President Nadeem Rauf said that the purpose of the seminar was to create awareness in the sacred profession like trade and to find solutions to these problems in the light of Qur’an and Sunnah. He said that the chamber would continue to hold such seminars on a regular basis to raise awareness.

Group leader Sohail Altaf said the chamber had launched a campaign under the slogan “No to Bribery, Trade with Honor”. The aim is to bring awareness to eradicate corruption. The business community also has a responsibility to fix documentation and required certifications.

Ambassador-designate of Sudan Mir Behrooz Jan Regi, Senior Vice President Asim Malik, Vice President Talat Awan, Former Presidents, Chairman Bilal Maqbool, Executive Members, Representatives of Anjuman-e-Tajiran and Chamber Members were also present on the occasion.
