RAWALPINDI: The local business community has demanded the government to supply gas to industrial sectors uninterruptedly.
Rawalpindi Chamber of Commerce and Industry (RCCI) President Mian Hamyun Pervez, while talking to APP, said that gas should be provided to industrial zone and domestic users on priority. The president said that despite closure of CNG stations, the industry and domestic users are still facing gas shortage. He said observed under the prevailing energy situation, the industrial sector was facing problems as factories were unable to meet production targets which ultimately hampering business activities.
Hamyun Pervez said the business community had pinned high expectations with the PML-N led government and called for taking practical measures against the elements involved in gas and electricity theft.
