RCCI welcomes PM direction for making people friendly budget

RAWLPINDI: The business community has welcomed the direction of Prime Minister, Muhammad Nawaz Sharif for making realistic and people friendly budget for 2015-16.

“The government’s strides for help uplifting the people of Pakistan are highly appreciable and welcoming”, said President Rawalpindi Chamber of Commerce and Industry (RCCI) Syed Asad Mashahadi in a press statement issued here Wednesday.

He said that the PM’s direction to the Ministry of Finance for making people friendly budget was translated as step forward to reducing the burden of taxes on common man.

“This kind of policies will strengthen the economy of the country on one hand while on the other help enhance the number of taxpayers,” he added.

He said that in the past, the people had been falling prey to the ignorance of the ruling classes who had been juggling with the figures to show performance but the present government was paying heed to their fair demands and this would help boost the overall economic conditions of the country.

He recalled that commitments under SRO 608 be fulfilled in letter and spirit.
