KARACHI: The Research & Development (R&D) Section of MCC Appraisement-East presented accused Muhammad Ali Chandna, intender of Pure Private Limited before Customs Court for further legal proceedings due to importation of banned antibiotics from India and other countries.
The R&D officials sought judicial remand of accused Muhammad Ali Chandna for carrying out further investigation of the case.
The Customs court has considered the plea of the R&D officials and extends the remand of the arrested accused for three more days.
The Research and Development (R&D) Section arrested him this week for his alleged involvement in import of banned antibiotic from India and other parts of the world in violation of SRO193(I)/2012.
The team of R&D officials including Malik Hashim (Preventive Officer), Azhar Abbas (Examining Officer), Adil Kamal and others arrested him.
The Chief Collector Appraisement South Nasir Masroor Ahmed and Collector MCC Appraisement East Manzoor Hussain Memon have lauded the efforts of R&D Section in this regard.
