Recovery of Rs39.529m: Multan Customs issues notices to M/s Dot World Technologies & M/s Maritime Agencies

MULTAN: Collectorate of Customs Enforcement Multan recovery branch has issued notices to two defaulter companies for recovery of outstanding amount of Rs39.529 million.   

Sources told Customs Today that M/s Dot World Technologies Pvt Ltd. and M/s Maritime Agencies has imported few telecommunication goods and submitted almost Rs39.529 million by paying less duty taxes during the clearance of their import consignments. The Collectorate has asked several times to M/s Dot World Technologies Pvt Ltd. and M/s Maritime Agencies and NTN  (NTN) number 3016560-1 for the payment of remaining duty taxes.

But the said importer has not paid any remaining tax amount to Customs Collectorate Enforcement and Recovery branch issued notice for the payment of outstanding amount under sub section of 2 & 3 of section 202 of the Customs act 1969. 

Multan Customs has started crackdown against defaulters for the recovery of their outstanding amount from defaulter after serving legal notice for the recovery of outstanding duty taxes. If said company has not responded to Customs notice, then Customs may attach their bank accounts and immoveable properties to recover outstanding taxes in this regard.   

Deputy Collector Recovery Muhammad Ejaz Shaheen has initiated stern action against the company to recover the outstanding dues. Multan Customs enforcement recovery branch has also intimated Regional Tax Office Lahore for the assistance and deduction of outstanding taxes from the said registered company which may be under control of respective authorities and the proof of government dues should be sent to the defaulter and other collectorates for the recovery of due taxes.
