KARACHI: The Directorate General of Customs Valuation has issued the reference value for nebulizer compressor/ machine.
The Directorate General initiated an exercise to develop database values for different items wherein it was observed that declarations are of wide range and do not correctly reflect the values of the items as traded in the international market.
During the scrutiny of previous clearance data, it was observed that nebulizer compressor / machine, falling under PCT headings 9019.2030, are being assessed at different values and certain transactions are on very low side.
The Directorate General, after carefully examining the clearance data, also conducted market inquiries to verify the authenticity of declarations. Online prices were also obtained to corroborate the findings of the market surveys.
The Directorate General found that the customs value of a Nebulizer compressor / machine of China origin is 6.20/kg bears C&F $11.50/piece.
The directorate stated that the clearance collectorates may like to consider the values given above before finalizing the assessment of the subject items. If further fine-tuning in specifications and ensuing values are required, a collectorate may forward a reference along with detailed justifications and worksheets so that requisite adjustments are accordingly issued.
In case of any grievances, the importer can file a request along with substantiating evidence / record for reconsideration / review, the directorate further stated.
Collectors of Customs, Model Customs Collectorates, Appraisement (East/West) / Port Qasim / Preventive, Karachi, Lahore Sambrial (Sialkot), Faisalabad, Multan, Islamabad, Hyderabad, Quetta, Peshawar, Gwadar and Gilgit-Baltistan have also been informed regarding the development of the valuation database for reference value for Nebulizer compressor / machine.
