Reference value of HP laserjet printers issued

KARACHI: Directorate General of Customs Valuation has issued the reference values for HP laserjet printers.

The directorate general has initiated an exercise to develop database values for different items whereas it has been observed that declarations are of wide range and do not correctly reflect values of the items as traded in the international market.

During the scrutiny of previous clearance data, it has been observed that Printers falling under PCT heading 8443.3210, 8443.3220, 84443.3230 & 8443.3290 are being assessed at different values and certain transactions are on very low side.

The directorate gneral, after carefully examining the clearance data, also conducted market inquiries to verify the authenticity of declarations. Online prices were also obtained to corroborate the findings of the market surveys. The office has found that the customs values of printers are following HP Printer laserJet Pro 100 MFP M127FN model No. CZ181A all origin 153, HP Printer laserJet Pro M706N model No. B6S02A All origin 786, HP Printer 80A black laserJet model No. CF280A All origin 89 and HP Printer laserJet Pro 100 MFP M125A model No. CZ172A All origin 123

These values are, however, for reference/guidance only and final assessment may please be made artt.i considering other factors which have bearing on the customs value.

The clearance collectorates may like to consider the values given above before finalizing the assessment of the subject items. If further fine-tuning in specifications and ensuing values are required, Collectorate may forward a reference along with detailed justifications and worksheets so that requisite adjustments are accor• ngly issued.
